Simple Practices for Everyday Abundance

Lately it's been a whirlwind as to how find some time to stay on top of my overall well-being. I'm finding that I'm adding in way too many things to do. (Trying to get my end of the year projects into completion.)
 As one of my teachers says - Do Less. It's a catchy phrase, and very difficult to do at times.

After sitting with this for a bit, I thought of my top daily practices to keep me feeling as if I'm doing even more for myself without really adding anything else to my day, feeling even more physically healthy, more satisfied throughout the day, and keeping my glow and flow intact. 



I'm calling them: practices to keep you in daily abundance:

*Water. Drinking at least 50% of your body weight in water everyday really helps to keep your digestion moving, your kidneys happy, and your intestinal tract in good shape. Plus, it keeps your skin more hydrated because it feeds your cells. And 50% is a great number to remember as a baseline because it's half of what you weigh.

*Sunshine. Getting enough fresh sunshine everyday is important to keep you feeling and functioning at your most optimal. Fresh sunshine triggers the body's production of vitamin D - a hormone for regulating mood, immune function, an may even help protect against inflammation in the body. It's been said that 15 minutes a day is optimal.

*Sleep. Sleep is Healing. A lot of repair and maintenance goes on in the body when you sleep. It's important for the production of melatonin, the hormone that makes you tired and helps you to sleep at night. Sleep gives your body time to repair damaged cells and helps your body maintain a healthy and strong immune system. Keeping your space clear of electronic devices, TV's off, and the room dark helps in this repair.

These practices are so simple, but can greatly improve the overall quality and satisfaction with your life.
When you're feeling more balanced and at your best, you can face things in life with more ease and grace.

With that said, I think I'm going to drink a glass of water, lay in the sun, and take a cat nap!
