This is such a super easy way to notice different levels of awareness within the body.
Ok - we’re on…
Let’s start with what we already know.
When you receive bodywork, the most obvious change you notice is relaxation.
I’m not going to insult you with the science of how all this happens because I believe you already know that “stuff”. But man, doesn’t it just feel good to have loving hands knead away that physical stress? That neuromuscular relaxation is so healing at the purely physical level… right?
So then, what happens after the physical relaxation?
Probably for most of us, some stillness.
You know - our thoughts recede a bit, we feel overall calmer, possibly more clear and spacious, and we really want this feeling to last as long as possible :)
Stillness is so rare for us; with our phones, TV, computers, radio, and all the other obvious distractions, it’s nice to feel still.
Think hammock in the shade on a warm afternoon with your eyes closed. Letting thoughts drift out of your brain and sporting a Mona Lisa smile….
Now, we’re relaxed and feeling some sense of stillness.
What comes next?
Hmmm… that tangible feeling of being more present - awareness at a deeper level of mindfulness that it almost seems limitless.
To the hammock vision: add noticing your soft breath, any feelings that arise, a light breeze on your skin and your hair blowing in the same direction as the breeze.
Webster’s dictionary defines presence as: the fact or condition of being more present, the part of space within ones immediate vicinity.
This can read as: our inner self and it’s immediate surroundings - body, room, emotions, thoughts, feelings, magnetic field and everything and everyone we interact with outside of ourselves.
As sentient beings, our bodies and magnetic fields know innately how to soak in, decipher information, and then find and maintain its natural state of balance/inner alchemy.
That we’re all wired to know innately if something is right or not for us and with some relaxation, stillness, and presence, is a lovely gift of feeling the inner alchemy of your inner knowing/intuition working in-tune with your outer self and world.
This lovely teeter-totter balancing dance of the alchemy of body, mind, and spirit helps us to evolve and embody our wholeness. This, without any other change, is in itself, healing.
Let’s transform ourselves, Transform for yourself, Transform for your loved ones, Transform for future generations and Transform for the world by fine-tuning our glow and flow to feel and live our most high vibration life!
