Bringing alignment into your life

I have been thinking about this a lot over the past few months...

How do you bring your sensory experience of life inside to create alignment (pono) and integrity in your life NOW? With your current beliefs.

Here are 3 ways I know that work for me. I used these methods while on a recent trip to Sedona and had amazing results I would never have expected.

Sometime using one works, sometimes combining them all works, it all depends on the day and whats coming up. 

And..... here they are in all there "wo-wooness:

1. Use a daily mantra or mindfulness quote. This helps your brain to relax and focus on less stressful aspects of life.
I like to think of these mantras like a quote in a fortune cookie - short and sweet...

2. The "crazy voice". This one is a bit strange if you've never used it. I call it the crazy voice. Here's why - Sit quietly for a few moments sipping your tea or coffee for the day and let your mind focus on the aroma.
Now, ask your highest self, your spirit, the question you'd like an answer to.

*NOTE*** This is where we like to give our power away and ask the ever popular guides and angels, or a higher being outside of ourselves for an answer.

But embrace being strange for a moment -  try it out and ask your highest self the question.

I find the answer comes pretty quickly and it is to the point. No metaphors to unravel. This is also how it is different than asking guides and angels.
And, it comes in a voice that often has a bell-like quality and sounds similar to yours.
BUT IS NOT YOUR VOICE. It's a bit different.
THIS, this is what I call the "crazy voice".
Trust the voice, it will guide you or send you to the proper person for assistance (perhaps a spiritual director for example).

*If you are getting messages to do bad things - this is not the voice I am talking about. Get some help immediately. Your inner voice would never tell you to harm anything, that is trauma and your brain at work.*


3. If you are having an intense emotional or mental overload about the specific situation, breathe into your body and really feel where it is your body. Right leg, ribs, hands?
Be curious and ask questions... "Interesting, where did this originate?" See if a specific memory comes up. If so, breathe into it and speak out loud what is going on internally in your body and in your brain. What are you thinking? You are listening into the uncomfortableness and allowing it to speak and leave the deep recesses of your mind so it can heal.
Sounds weird, but really, it's amazing how this one works.

And those are my 3 ways to get those emotions and senses that are so uncomfortable into your body to let go of, and create alignment into who you are now. Not who you were then when the emotions came up.
